Responsibilities Tasks Transport clean dishes, utensils and other items to service areas and set tables Transport and replace table linens Clean and disinfect items such as racks, carts and dishwasher waste grinders Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs Fill bins and trays used for clearing tables Use a dishwasher to wash dishes, glasses and utensils Store dishes in designated locations Restock condiments and other items on tables and in service areas Disinfect dishes and other items and wash them by hand Scour pots and pans Record quantities of food used in registers Pack take-out foods Divide food into portions and wrap them Prepare and heat simple dishes Serve food to customers at the counter or buffet table Stock refrigerators and salad bars Take customer orders Clean and disinfect the kitchen, work stations, cupboards, storage areas and equipment Handle cleaning products and store them Receive, unpack and store provisions in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage Remove waste and garbage and empty trash bins Sharpen kitchen knives Sweep, wipe, wash, wax and polish floors Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits Benefits Financial Benefits Tips
